One World?

This might sound like some crazy hippie stuff but I believe every person should have the right to move freely around the world. Much like Americans move freely (live & work) between different states. Maybe a world where countries compete to attract or retain their citizens with little to no strings attached?

Reason: if people in less developed countries bear the cost of global crises such as Global Warming etc, then they should be able to share in the benefits as well — don’t you think?

Note: our reasons for why we think that this can’t happen are mostly because some of us in more developed countries have self-serving biases. In addition, a lot of us as countries have deep historical relations we need to amend. Lastly, all of us need to explore better ways of managing our physical resources & organizing our people.

The time has never been better & our evolving technologies are only making it easier to do so; if we wish.
